This book is WAY better than book 1 in this series *Weathered Too Young.* You don't have to read WTY first, but I think it helps flesh out the characters better. Who doesn't love a masculine but tender cowboy? I think the h's mom is awesome - I do love a strong female who can find a great match.
This was a nice story - though I'm not sure I would have liked it as much had I not already been charmed by Tom in the previous book Weathered Too Young - which I much prefer. The characters in this story aren't quite as interesting or developed as those in the first book. Still it was a nice read.
I could not put this book down. Loved the story and romance. Marcia McClure does an excellent job of developing the relationship and putting you on the edge of your seat with anticipation. Where are real men and women today? The storyline was good with unexpected events.
I think "Weathered to young" and this follow up book about the Evan's men are some of Marcia's best. Although I have most all of her historical westerns and love them all, these were special and I would recommend them to everyone. She never lets you down on the passionate kisses. She is always an interesting and fun read.
Beautiful love story that crosses age barriers. Characters are very real. A sequel to Weathered Too Young (which I think is slightly better). These books are about two brothers and their differences in personality and the loves in their lives. Both books are very entertaining. I believe they can be read as stand alone novels.
This book is great re at because it starts with mother and daughter both trying to survive after heartache. Both the men in their lives died and they are back at home. The journey they take is very interesting. I loved their happy ever afters. Their hope and happiness are priceless. It's clean and uplifting. I would recommend this book and this author.
This is the sequel to "Weathered Too Young". Both books stand alone very well but should be read in order for greater enjoyment. Marcia Lynn McClure has made a new fan! I love her writing style. Her characters are fully developed to the point I get attached to them. She stays true to the time period and develops a story line sprinkled with romance, laughter and life's trials and tribulations.
